It worked for me so i guess it will work for you. Remind them that you want a dog every day, make them see that you are lookin for dog information, talk to your friends about how much you want a dog in front of your parents, and show them that you are responsible (clean your room) hang up pictures of dogs, and something that realy works is to tell themyou want to go to the pet store to see animals.(dogs) Show them the cutest dog you can find they will fall in love with the puppy face.
first of all you have to be an only child if you are pretend that you never have someone to play with and if it doesn't work try to make a paper dog and pretend your having fun with it outside .Then get unhappy and keep on telling your parents to get you one until they do.
You have to prove that you are able to be trusted with small things before you expect them to be able to trust you with larger things. Save up your money, do jobs around the house to show them that you can be a responsible person. A smaller pet might be an idea for a start. If you can show that you can care for, feed, and exercise that then they may see that you are serious about a dog. Keeping a dog is a serious commitment so think this through carefully. Keep your parents on board by seeking their advice and assistance before you make any requests and decisions.
Say you dont have much friends and need one like a dog, or watch lots of dog movies. If they say maybe, then act like they said yes and show them pictures and information about getting a dog.
Your parents might talk privitley when you are not in the room. If you have been wanting a dog forever they could make a deal and say If you watch her dog for a week WELL!, you can get a dog.
