Yes he or she will. This summer vacation I my family and I went to Hawaii and took ower Border Collie mix to a kennel. Then in 10 days we came back and he wasn't acting normal. He was shy and wasn't barking and he usely barks. But ofcourse it depends. If your dog is always with you he will miss you. Like my dog is always with us and he missed us. But if your dog is independent he might not miss you. But if you take your dog to a kennel you should give your dog one of your shirts that's old because if he misses you he will smell you on the shirt and it will feel like your with him or her.

Certainly. Cats become very attached to their humans, and I dont know if I speak for everyone but my cats are genuinely glad to see me when I get home. So I guess that they might be equally sad to see me leave.

myself ,i will use timers to turn on the tv.and radio at different times of day.but iwill not go away unless i can get someone to visit at least once aday, and they can look after my plants also and feed the cat.,and give her some pets if they can.there was asuggestion by a friend who taped different conversations over a week period and they would be played when someone came twice a day two feed the cat.cats are very perceptive and can reconzise voices.or just find someone who will come by two or three times a day eecspecially one time in the evening.

The saying or idiom is Why the cat's away, the mice will play! It means when a cat is not watchful, mice can come in and have a field day running around. As a metaphor, it's like saying, When the boss is gone, workers will do all kinds of wrongs!
