My parrots lay eggs all the time. To stop this natural behavior put a shoe box, or a box in there cage with the eggs in it. Put paper shredding in the box so the eggs will not be smashed. Let the bird sit on the eggs for about 4 weeks eventually they will become uninterested and ignore the eggs. At this point your bird will stop laying eggs :)
Never take the eggs out of the cage because this makes your bird want to lay even more.
Well, darling, when a chicken plops its feathery behind on those eggs, it's called "brooding." That's just nature's way of keeping those eggs warm and cozy until they're ready to hatch. So, next time you see a chicken playing mama, you can thank brooding for those adorable little chicks that will eventually peck their way out.
A brooding hen is a female chicken that exhibits maternal behavior by sitting on a clutch of eggs to incubate them and keep them warm until they hatch. During this time, the brooding hen can be protective, aggressive, and focused solely on caring for her eggs.
Brooding
There's natural brooding and then there's artificial brooding.Brooding is breeding chicks in incubators. The localized heat type and the whole space type are the two main types of brooding.
Sorry, hens don't lay while they're brooding. But when they're done and dusted brooding with their chickens and everything, they will be back laying again.
There are 3 development stages in raising chicken. The first one is hatching, the second is brooding and finally rearing the chicken.
In most cases you can persuade a broody hen to stop brooding by continually removing her from the nest. This may take a few days up to a week. Remove eggs daily, move the hen from the nest and refuse her access to that nest for as long as possible daily.

Brooding
The simplest thing to use to hatch a chicken egg is a chicken. Unfortunately the brooding instinct has been bred out of a lot of the chickens today, so they may not tend the eggs enough for them to hatch. After that a simple incubator does a good job, but now you have to tend the eggs instead of the chicken.
Yes! You can get a chicken to start setting on eggs whether they are her eggs or another chickens or even if they are not chicken eggs. The best way to do this is to make the chicken feel the days have gotten longer, (anywhere from 15 t0 17 hours of daylight.) To do this put a soft light in their hen house and after about a week she begin brooding.
