Virtually all breeds have two oestrus cycles each year. Initially, the vulva swells and within a day there is a clear discharge, which becomes tinged with blood the next day. This discharge increases in intensity and then slowly diminishes, ending after about ten days. During this time the female becomes more alert and urinates frequently, leaving signals of her impending willingness to mate. Ovulation takes place soon after the discharge has stopped. Only now will the female accept mating. Hormonal changes occur regardless of whether a female is pregnant, which is why there is no simple blood or urine tests to confirm impending motherhood.
A vet cannot tell exactly when a dog will be in heat. Usually dogs go into heat every six months, so they will do this twice per year.
i have heard that you can tell by the teeth but sometimes you can tell by the face or the personality of your dog
You don't need to tell anyone if a dog is pregnant, but if you want to, you can tell the dog's owners.
Dogs whine for a lot of reasons. This could be one of them. Dogs can tell by the smell when another dog is in estrus, so an intact male dog might very well whine to get out to visit a nearby female in heat. A neutered male probably won't care much.
Dogs can become pregnant when they reach sexual maturity, which is typically around six months to one year of age, depending on the breed. It is important to spay or neuter your dog if you do not want them to reproduce.
it's tonge
Answer. You can tell if your dog is on heat if theirthingy is bigger than usual and they do bleed.Sometimes your dog has a fantum pregnancy which is where your dog thinks its pregnant (and its not)so i hope that this info helps:)
the dog starts to blead
Well they bleed but only for about a week. They are still in heat though they are not bleeding
She will bleed. Usually in small spots which you will notice on furniture or the floor.
because the dog is on heat It isn't fair to the male dog to think of his reaction to a female in heat as "misbehaving." He's just doing what his instincts tell him to do. If you don't want him trying to mount her, keep them separated until her heat is over.
Depends what animal! * A dog/cat could die with to much heat! * A desert cat might survive with lots of heat! Why don't you tell me exactly what animal it is!

Yes it can! It may mount you or another dog if it's in heat, a puppy, or if it hasn't been neutered/spayed. If a dog does mound you, tell it to "Get off!" or "No!"
how can i tell the age of a dog
A dog urinates the same if she is in heat, heat does not affect her urination
Usually dogs come into heat anytime after they are about 6 month of age, their vagina will swell quite a bit, the dog will lick herself a lot, starting with a clear fluid and then blood. If you do not want the dog to go into heat have her spayed at 6 month of age or soon after the first heat.
