Dogs have about a five (5) hour digestive track. If Fido eats at noon, he'll need to poop around 5pm. Try feeding your dog at a specific time and not leaving food out all day (self-feeding tends to lead to an overweight pet anyway). An adult dog should eat once per day. My dog rings a bell we have hanging from the doorknob when she needs to go outside. To train her, everytime we went outside, I would ring the bell and say, in a happy voice, "Outside, outside". She learned it in less than a day.

Well really what you do is train them. Let them out every 20 to 30 minutes. When they go outside give them a little piece of cookie not the whole thing just a little piece or give them a piece of there dog food. Also, if they pee inside put them by it and ask them, loudly "What did you do?", then let them out again or put them in there box for a few minutes. That is how we trained both are dogs.

Housetraining is so much fun isn't it? LOL. I understand as I am going through it with one of my new dogs right now. Here's what you have to do. All dogs generally give cues that they have to go, females will smell the ground and walk in circles, males will do that as well or even smell up the wall or the side of the couch, when you see this behaviour, take them outside right away. Give them frequent opportunities to go outside, every hour or two when you are home (at least until they are trained). When they go outside, you have to be right there with them, as soon as they start to pee or poop say "yes", when they are done tell them they are a good dog, and pet them or give them treats. When they are inside and they start to pee, you need to give them a verbal correction, which is just a louder strange noise to get their attention, I use the word "AT", this should be enough to stop their peeing, in a normal happy voice (not a mad one) say lets go outside, and let them out, praise them when they are done their business outside. The important thing to remember is to never say their name followed by no, and never get mad. You don't want the dog to think that they are bad for doing their business ever, if they make this connection you will have so many more problems. You want them to think that when they do it outside, they get petted and treated, when they do it inside, they hear this strange noise and end up outside anyway, so they feel they may as well go outside and get treats. The other thing that is really hard to grasp, is that if you come home and see that you dog has already had an accident THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT. There is no point in yelling at the dog because they don't understand, they look like they know what they did, but really they just know that you are yelling at them, and when you yell they feel bad. The only time you can say anything to the dog when they go inside, is right after they have started peeing, after the pee is done it is too late. This is a very frusterating time for you, but you can get through it, and your dog will learn, you need to be kind, fair and consistent.

If your dog keep mussing in the house you should train it. Put your dog in a cage by night. And in the daytime let it roam. Let your dog out 1 time in the morning. I time in the afternoon. And 1 time before it goes in its cage for the night. And when it goes out give it a treat, but only if it did not mess in the house. Hope this helps you out!

One of the best ways to housebreak a dog is using a crate to train them.

Dogs are naturally clean animals, so when kept in a crate they do not generally want to go in their den.

Try to keep a consistent schedule of feeding your dog and letting your dog out to potty. Praise your dog when he or she goes outside.

Never punish your dogs for accidents.

Only leave your dog in the crate for several hours at a time. Adjust the length as your dog learns to hold it in. Don't expect your dog to stay in the crate all day without going.

I dont think that you can stop a dog from mother nature but try to not give the dog water after a certain time. Walk him/her before bed and that should help control his/her bladder. Good luck!

How do you un pee pad train your dog I want my dog to go outside?

try putting the pee pad outside. make sure the dog knows that it's outside. every time the dog pee's in the house, you need to let the dog know that that's bad by saying no in an angry voice and putting it outside. once the dog starts peeing outside, you can get rid of the pee pad.
