It is not so much the shell that keeps a baby turtle safe. The mama turtle impacts sand tightly around the eggs which protect the eggs. The eggs themselves are soft and fragile.
Turtle eggs hatch when the embryo inside them develops fully and breaks through the shell. The hatchling then uses an egg tooth to cut through the shell to emerge. This process can take several days to weeks, depending on the species of turtle.
They make them when inside the egg so they have them at birth. A turtle's shell is really a hard covering over their ribs. It's a myth that turtles can come out of their shells or that turtles shed their shells when they get bigger and then find new ones. A turtles shell grows along with the turtle.
It is not recommended to release a baby turtle in a pond with larger turtles, as they may be at risk of being harmed or outcompeted for resources. It is best to release them in a safe and suitable environment for their size and species.
Yes, Yes, Yes!!!! No matter what kind of Turtle u have the best thing u could buy is one of those plastic baby pools and let it play in that! If you have an Aquatic turtle put a few inches of cool water (depending on the size of the turtle) and a big rock for it to bask in the sun, or if you have a land turtle put a few inches of sand in it and a dish for fresh water and let them play for no more than a couple hours. But during play time u have to keep a very close eye on them and keep away Predators, or make sure they don't climb out!! But in the end your turlte will love u for letting it play in the air and sun!

the shell keeps the tadpole safe because it protects the tadpole from predetors
well, it's shape allows it to adapt to its environment. For example, if the shell is big and thick, it allows the turtle to burrow its head inside of it in the cold or to keep safe.

keep it warm and safe I guess
Dawn dishwashing liquid is often considered safe for cleaning a turtle's tank, as it is effective at removing grease and grime. However, it's crucial to rinse thoroughly to ensure no soap residue remains, as this can be harmful to turtles. For cleaning the shell, it's generally recommended to use warm water and a soft brush instead of soap to avoid any potential irritation. Always prioritize the health and safety of your turtle when choosing cleaning products.
