Albatrosses live to be 40-60 years old. [This would be the normal lifespan without accidental death]
Actually, An Particular Albatross is the longest Living Bird. Wisdom is 63 years old and has just raised another healthy chick, her 40th...Scientists believe because she is still able to breed if she isn't taken by a predator or illness she could live up to 5-6 more years. As Albatross typically live up to 5 years after they stop laying eggs.
She is a record holder, and the oldest living bird. She has outlived her peers by 10 years... So the Scientists are still counting the years to see how long it takes for her to stop being capable of breeding, if no un-forseeable events happen she will determine the max lifespan of the species.
She has survived the Tsunami in Japan and flown several million miles in her lifetime, the equivalence of flying to the moon and back twice!
She is an awesome animal and you can Google and read her story, The scientist who first tagged her in the 50's, "she was already breeding age." is 80. He is still checking in on his old friend. :) Maybe she will tell us how long birds can really live as so far its undetermined so to speak.
-Shes an exception to the rule and gained her name, "Wisdom" from surviving sharks, whales, predators, nets, tsunami, massive storms, ect...
Though albatross rarely take a new mate after their partner dies she has had 4, She outlived them all and is on her 40th chick :) Most of her chicks survived and she is considered a vital role player in repopulating the once threatened species. I love her story :) You should ready it! [Fun Facts by BentofishStudio] :) I hope this helps!
Albatrosses primarily feed on fish, squid, and krill. They are skilled aerial predators and use a variety of feeding techniques such as surface-seizing, surface-diving, and plunge diving to catch their prey. Albatrosses are also known to scavenge on fish offal and other floating debris in the ocean.
Black-browed albatrosses are adapted to cold environments because their large wingspan and streamlined body shape allow them to efficiently glide over the ocean, where they spend most of their time foraging for food. Cold waters often have higher productivity, providing a more abundant food source for these birds. Additionally, black-browed albatrosses breed in colonies on remote sub-Antarctic islands, where the cold temperatures help regulate their body temperature and reduce the risk of overheating.

yes,the Albatrosses, of the biological family Diomedeidae, are large seabirdsThey range widely in the Southern Ocean and the North Pacific..so they live in polar regions
Albatrosses are _not_ limited to the Southern Hemisphere, but it is an interesting question nonetheless. Maybe it depends on what you mean by "albatross." In the albatross family, there are many species, some of which do live in the northern hemisphere. Three live in the North Pacific, and one lives in the Galapagos Islands which, being right on the equator, are technically partly in the Northern Hemisphere. There are no albatrosses in the North Atlantic. Except for the waved albatross in the Galapagos Islands, albatrosses do not live in the tropics. This is because they need wind in order to fly long distances, and there are often long periods of calm in the tropics. Therefore, those albatrosses that live in the Southern Hemisphere can not cross to the Northern Hemisphere, and vice versa. The waved albatross is able to live in the Galapagos because the local conditions there create enough wind for them. For more details, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Albatross.

Collective nouns for albatrosses are a rookery of albatrosses or a weight of albatrosses.
they live on air because then they can see their predators around
Albatrosses live three to six years flying on the open sea. They nest on rocky cliffs. They are also very rare.
Some of the animals that live in Germany are badgers, deer, hedgehogs, hares, and moles. Birds like albatrosses and pelicans live in the country.
Yes, black-browed albatrosses are vertebrates. As birds, they possess a backbone, which is a characteristic of all vertebrates. These seabirds belong to the family Diomedeidae and are known for their impressive wingspan and long-distance flying abilities.
