It depends how old they are and how well you take care of them. I've had mine for almost two years. They are very well taken care of, though. If you want long lasting pets...they are SUPER easy to manage and very cute!
is whiting a bottom feeder
Swai fish are considered bottom feeders as they primarily feed on algae, small invertebrates, and other organisms found at the bottom of freshwater rivers in southeast Asia where they are commonly found.
Tilapia fish are considered to be bottom feeders because the fish will eat anything available. The fish prefer a vegan diet but due to overcrowding in fish farms, they will eat the waste of the other fish. Some farms actually use the Tilapia fish to clean after other types of fish before selling both to markets.
feeder mice will tend to live a maxium of 3 years. As long as you take great care of them.
You can, but it's better to have them several feet apart.
If by "Rosy Red" you mean a Rosy Barb they can live for 4 years or so. If they are used as a 'feeder fish" their life span obviously would only last as long as they are not fed to something.
not a chance. you could buy guppies as feeder fish for them though.
no but they can go there
Yes. Feeder fish just like all goldfish grow depending on the size of their environment. I once had a feeder fish in a 50 gallon tank that was 8/9 inches long when it passed at the age of 7.
Many different species of fish are used as 'feeder fish'. Some are egg layers and some are livebearers. If you say what the species is you will probably get an accurate answer.
Feeder fish are different to gold fish. Goldfish can actually live for up to 50 years!
Yes, as long as the fish and Fire Bellied Toads are around the same size and the toads have a place were they can get out of the water if they want to.
a goldfish is a feeder fish. I kind of disagree with the answer above. Yes, goldfish CAN be feeder fish, but they aren't necessarily feeder fish. Feeder fish are really fish that are rather small and are fed to other animals, and that are for some reason thought as not being as precious as other "pet" fish. So a feeder fish and a pet fish are two different kinds of fish, really. Not all goldfish are feeder fish. There are expensive goldfish, more than 10 dollars per fish! Then there are those goldfish breeded to be eaten that are sold as 75 cents per fish. So there are "pet" goldfish and "feeder" goldfish. So, a goldfish is not necessarily a feeder fish.
Feeder fish, How do you tell male from female of the?
Most pet shops will carry some feeder fish.
Yes, I had a guppy live in my saltwater tank for a year. They are considered a brackish fish.... so they can adapt to a higher salinity level
