They are born ready to eat and drink water on their own. They need to start being weaned at 2 weeks old and fully at 3 weeks old. Males become fully fertile at 3 weeks old and to prevent back breeding, they must be removed.

you put the two rabbits in to mate, leave them for a few days then take the male out again. you may have to wait for a while, but never leave the father in with the mother for too long. if you have the father in when she gives birth, he will kill the babies. this happens most of the time. only very rarely, would a male rabbit not kill the babies. it's best not to take that chance. if you keep the male rabbit in with the female for too long, he will keep mating with her and will frustrate her and make her extremely angry. this may create problems. hope i helped.

usually 4 weeks of age is best, but be sure to also seperate the boy and girl babies as they are become reproductively mature around 4-5 weeks of age.
