The problem with this question is that a person assumes that, upon artificially inseminating a cow, that semen is taken directly from the tank of liquid nitrogen and put into the cow, which is not true at all. The semen that is taken from the tank where it has kept frozen is always thawed out and warmed to room temperature before it enters the cow. A cow is worth a lot of money, and to do something that stupid and careless is beyond reason because semen frozen to being at least -200 degrees F and put into a cow right away will cause a lot of damage to the cow's reproductive system and render her infertile, something which no producer wants from any of his/her cows.

Can a human impregant a cow?

No. Humans and cows are two very separate species, which makes human semen nonviable to the ovum of a cow. However, a human can impregnate a cow by inserting frozen bull semen into the cow's uterus through a process called Artificial Insemination. It is a much more common and legal way of impregnating a cow than attempting beastiality on a cow.

Does any cow survive if her calf is dead in her womb?

A cow can survive if her calf is dead in her womb. But if that calf is not expelled or pulled out soon, she could die as well.

What is bull semen?

Bull semen is the liquid that is developed from the prostrate, cowpers, bulbourethral and vesicular gland to provide a nutrient source and means of locomotion for sperm when travelling down the cow's reproductive tract on their way to fertilize the ovum upon being ejaculated via the penis unto the cow's vagina.

What does hand breeding cows mean?

It means taking the semen from a bull and putting it in a cow's uterus by hand, without having the bull to service the cow himself. It is all called artificial insemination.

How are cows artificially inseminated?

There is a fully detailed article that answers this question in full which can be read in the related link below. Basically, though, a cow is artificially inseminated by a person having one arm up the cow's rectum to hold the cervix through the colon wall and the other arm manipulating an AI gun with a semen straw in it through that cervix into the cow's uterus. Once the tip of the gun is in the cow's uterus, semen is deposited into her. A cow can only be successfully AI'd if she was recently in heat. Otherwise she will not take nor get pregnant. Use of artificial hormones can help a producer synchronize several cow's heat cycles so that they can be AI'd all together in one day.

How do you inpregnate a cow?

Through the use of artificial insemination. A straw of semen that was collected from a bull and frozen in a semen tank is inserted into the cow's vagina and into the cervix by a AI gun that holds the semen straw. One hand has to be inside the cow's anus to hold the cervix so the straw can go through, and the other hand has to be manipulating the straw into the uterus of the cow. Once the straw is in a little ways into the uterine cavity, the semen is deposited and the gun with drawn and the empty straw discarded.

Which semen is best for a jersey cow?

Jersey semen. Never give semen from a Holstein bull to a Jersey cow because you'll just be asking for trouble: difficult calving, and possibly a dead or injured cow as a result of trying to pass a really large calf. If you want a dairy-beef cross, semen from an Angus bull with calving ease would also be alright.
