This is considered an inhumane method. It takes several days and results in severe pain for the animal. It opens the animal up for infection and possibly even a drawn out death. It is inexpensive to have this procedure done professionally and only takes a matter of minutes as well dramatically reducing suffering to the animal.
Don't forget, to take proper care of a goat, they need vaccinations, monthly worm treatments, quality feed or adequate grazing, fresh water, and shelter just like any other animal.
Use an elastrator. The rings that you would use for bull calves look like green Cheerios. Make sure the bull is restrained before you do this procedure, either by having someone help you hold the calf to the ground, or have him retrained in the squeeze chute with his head in the headgate so he doesn't move around excessively on you. Make sure you can count to 2 before slipping the band on; squeeze the elastrator (which'll widen the green band), slip the band over the testicles (making sure you have 2 testicles inside the band and not one or none), then release pressure on the handles of the elastrator when the band is on the neck of the scrotum (where the epididimus tubes are located) and not directly squeezing the testicles, as this would be very painful for the bull. Pull the elastrator out of the band now on the neck of the testicles and your done.
Castration after banding typically takes about 1-2 weeks for the testicles to fall off. The band restricts blood flow to the scrotum, causing the testicles to atrophy and eventually detach. It is important to monitor the sheep for signs of infection or discomfort during this period.
They shouldn't fall off to begin with, so why are you asking?
You can only wether a goat when it is a kid. You can either use rings and a wethering tool or a type of tool that cuts through the cord of the testicles with out breaking the skin. With the rings, place a ring on the points of the wethering tool. Squeeze the handles together and place it at the base of the testicles near the rudimentary teats. Let the handles go and pull the wethering tool away. In 2-5 weeks the testicles should fall off.
The umbilical cord when dried should fall off within three to four days.
about 3 weeks to a little over a month - it depends on the age of the goat when banded and what size band you use.

Rubber band ligation is a medical procedure used to treat internal hemorrhoids. It involves placing a small rubber band at the base of the hemorrhoid to cut off its blood supply, causing it to shrink and fall off. This procedure is a common and effective treatment for hemorrhoids.
Get the ruler then the gum on the globe. Put it together and put it into the vent to get the rubber band. Get the rubber band and shoot it at the teacher. The glasses will fall off. Tell Smiley, he will go get the glasses. Then trip him.
Presumably mother goats.

Testicles do not fall asleep.
Rubber powered airplanes fall into three types. The first is to use a rubber band as a sling attached to the front of the plane. When stretched and released the contracting band moves the plane forward and it soars upwards based on the aerodynamics of the wing. The second rubber band powered plane uses a twisted band attached to the propeller. the realising torsional energy as it unwinds turns the propelled and pulls the plane forward and it soars upwards based on the aerodynamics of the wing.As an alternate, a mixture of rubber powder and oxidant can be used in a rocket engine to thrust the plane forward.

If the rubber band wasn't tight, the cat likely simply kicked it off when it became annoying. If the rubber band was tight, the cat is likely to chew through it as soon as it becomes annoying. However, if the cat left the rubber band alone, and it was tight enough to cut off blood flow, eventually the rubber band would cause all the tissues (including the entire paw) below the rubber band to die and fall off. Depending upon the cat's overall health and exactly how the necrosis of the paw occurs, this could result in fatal blood poisoning. I wouldn't suggest doing this to your cat - it's quite painful - but it's likely the cat would take care of the problem before it became life threatening.
