Frogs have 26 chromosomes in their somatic cells. A frog's sperm would be a haploid cell, meaning that the cell contains half the amount of chromosomes that it's somatic cells have. So a frog's sperm cell would contain 13 chromosomes.
This is not quite as simple as just giving a number. Female bees (queens and workers) are diploid -- they have chromosomes from both the mother and father -- so have 32 chromosomes, 16 chromosomes from the queen and 16 from the drone who provided the sperm. Male bees (drones) are haploid -- they only have chromosomes from the mother because they develop from an unfertilized egg -- so have just 16 chromosomes from the queen.
Sex cells are haploid cells, meaning that they have half the cells of body cells. If a pig has 38 chromosomes, then in its egg cells there will be 19 chromosomes. Also in a male pig there will be 19 in its sperm cells.
Somatic (diploid) cells have pairs of chromosomes. They have 46 chromosomes, making 23 pairs. All the cells in the human body are diploid cells, with the exception of the gametes (sperm and ova).Gametes are sex cells (eggs and sperm), they only have 23 chromosomes total. This is because they will combine with another gamete to form an embryo that will have 46.
The only thing that I can say is that chromosomes are parts that decide character traits inside a cell.
elephants have 56 chromosomes
Sperm whales have 42 (2n) chromosomes.
A sperm cell contains 23 [unpaired] chromosomes.
It has 23 chromosomes.

Sperm whales have 42 (2n) chromosomes.
23. There are 46 chromosomes in a human, half from the egg and half from the sperm.
There are 23 chromosomes in each sperm produced by a human male.
There are 23 chromosomes in each the sperm and the egg. When they fuse, the resulting embryo will have 46 chromosomes.
There are 23 chromosomes from the egg and 23 chromosomes from the sperm making it 46 in total when they both fuse together.
