We have a Poly-dactyl or Hemingway cat and she has 5 on the front and 4 each on the back, she recently had kittens and they all have 5 or 6 toes on each paw!! I have read that they can have as many as 7.
Contrary to the above post, a cat NORMALLY has five toes on the front feet and four on the back. Only the kittens mentioned above are polydactyl.

Typically a cat will have five toes, four on the front of the foot and one up towards the heel. Each toe has a claw, but only the four at the front of the foot also have hairless "pads". The central pad on a cat's foot is not a toe but what would be the ball of a human's foot. Polydactyl cats--having six toes--became famous when Hemingway adopted one. Many "barn" cats are this type of cat.
Normal cats have 4 on each of the front paws and a dew claw, and 4 each on the back. So that is 18 total. Although, some housecats, due to polydactyly can have up to 7 toes on each paw.
A cat's feet are called paws. Paws are important for balance, grooming, and hunting. Cats have five toes on their front paws and four toes on their back paws.
Hemingway cats, also known as polydactyl cats, can be indoor or outdoor cats depending on their living situation and the environment they are in. However, it's generally recommended to keep cats indoors for their safety and well-being.
Cats dont have toes they have paws silly
As many as we do, but their fifth toes are on their ankles.

No, not all calico cats have six toes
not too rare. I've have a cat and he had a total of 24 toes all together. i know many cats that have many extra toes.
Cats spread their toes when you pet them because it helps them maintain balance and feel more secure.
Well it may be a possibility, but insects don't technically have toes, but you could say they do. I doubt they are toes, nor do most animals have toes. But its certainly a possibility.

They can, yes, but it is not a breed standard. Some cats can have a genetic deformity that sometimes makes them have six or more toes.
polydactyl means many fingers. It refers to people or creatures that have more fingers or toes then what they are suppose to have.
Sure! But not many cats are willing to...
