There is no specific number that I know of that describes how much "better" a dogs hearing is to humans. Dogs can hear better 1. because of the shape of their ears (larger and more cup-shaped than humans) and the muscles that allow the dogs ears to twist and turn to catch sounds, and 2. because dogs have a much higher range of hearing than humans. The typical human can hear anything between 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz, while the typical dog can hear anything from 40 Hz to 60,000 Hz!
A dog hears 4 times louder then a human. That is why dogs get ear infections quite a lot because when we shout there ears hurt. If your dogs has an ear infection then it will probably moan all the time and want stroaking. I know this because my dogs does it when i play music too loud. Hope this answer, answers your question :)
Sound is measured in vibrations, or cycles, per second, termed either cps or hertz. It is accepted that humans can hear 20 to 20,000 hertz, with the optimum range between 1,000 and 4,000 hertz. Agreement among scientists about canine hearing, however, differs. While it is generally acknowledged that dogs hear somewhat less in the ultra-low range and considerably more in the high-frequency range, actual numbers vary widely. Most experts cite upper limits of 35,000 to even 100,000 hertz.
Studies have shown that dogs are capable of perceiving frequencies about twice that of a normal human. This means that what a human can hear at 20 feet, a dog can hear at 80 feet.
I'm not sure how much but they're remarkable hearing devices, far more sensitive than our ears and capable of hearing at a higher frequency.
actually a dog can hear 24 times better than us humans can.thats why there afraid of thunder.
You know how dogs can hear a dog whistle and humans can't because its to high pitched? That much better. Think about it:]

Yes, they do have good hearing. They can hear better than humans.
A dog's nose is better than a pig's becuase a dog's nose is 1,000 to 10,000 times better than a human's but a pig's isn't much better. In conclusion a dog's nose has a higher sense of smell, therefore, it is better.
Dogs and most animals rely on their hearing more than we do. As humans, we rely on eyesight and primates overall have better eyes than other animals.

polar bears have amazing hearing they can hear something from 10 miles away!
Because water conducts sound waves much better than air does.
I don't think that there is an animal that can see better than a human... But there are animals that can hear better, such as cats, dogs, deer, etc.
