Isa Brown chickens have a life expectancy of around 6-8 years, but this can vary depending on the care they receive, genetics, and environmental factors. Proper housing, nutrition, and healthcare can help maximize their lifespan.
Isa Brown pullets typically grow to be around 16-19 inches in height.
You can expect about 5 to 7 eggs per week from an Isa brown hen. The ISA brown hen is a hybrid hen specifically produced to have a high rate of lay. They average 300 eggs per year in the first year and can maintain good rate of lay in the second year.
The weight of a Chicken can vary drastically depending on the breed. A small Modern Game Bantam may weigh around 450 - 620 grams where as a big Jersey Giant Chicken can way any where from 4.5 - 6.8 kilograms! The average layer hen (ISA Brown/ISA Red) on average weighs around 3kg. Hope I Helped. Thankyou For Using WikiAnswers!
for some reason if chickens have red earlobes then they lay brown eggs but my chickens wich are rhode island reds lay about 300 eggs a year and they are reknown for being one of the best egg layers and are very good domesticated birds also every single egg i get is brown so they may be a good choice for you.

I can't think of any chicken breeds that would cause problems when put together - you just want to be careful with other species of birds, because they can transmit diseases to each other, among other things.

I have found that if you want easy to care for chickens that lay a lot of eggs, Isa Browns are the best variety. They are the breed of chickens most egg farms use. Rhode Island Reds are also good. But, if you are looking for pets, some bantam varieties may be what you are looking for.
