The bite from a giant centipede is incredibly painfull, not for just a short while, the pain is intense for several hours, & persists with less severity for several days, as does the associated swelling.
The best treatment is to wash the bite as soon as possible, then use ice to relieve the pain.

A centipede bite looks a lot like a bee sting or a mosquito bite. Some centipede bites don't leave much of a visible mark. It depends on the size of the centipede. They usually prefer to run away rather than biting to defend themselves.
