senses- spine- reflex action... that is the reflex action, when a sense organ brings messages until our spine and the spine does it. these are for small actions such as jumping, moving your hand out of pain and other physical related activities.

senses- spine- brain stem- brain- analyze- action... i don't know how this is called but this for mental related activities such as deciding, thinking etc... from the sense organs, messages are brought to our spine... and smaller, t our nerves... a sort of electricity ba yun is formed when it passes on the synapse, till it reaches the brain. the message goes and analyze where should it go, sa cerebrum ba o cerebellum. then the message is analyzed and travels back to the designated muscles, of course, to react...

that was a long time of explanation but that happens faster than the wink of our eye... mystery, ae?

Can a brain imagine something that it has never seen?

Yes, the brain has the ability to create images and concepts that it has never directly experienced through processes like creativity and imagination. This ability is thought to be a result of the brain synthesizing and recombining past experiences to generate novel ideas and visualizations.

When a dog sees a cat a message travels from the dog's eyes to the dogs?

Messages travel from the dog's eyes to their brain.

Do cells have brains?

Brains are collections of nerve cells that comprise the main structure in an organism's nervous system. The brain's function is to regulate and coordinate processes distributed throughout the body of the organism that contains it.Since a cell cannot contain a nervous system (because it would itself be a collection of many specialized cells) a cell cannot have a brain. In some respects, a cell's nucleus performs brain-like functions. After receiving chemical messages from outside the cell and transcribing those messages according to the code represented by the cell's DNA, the nucleus can transmit messages that govern the activity of the cell by changing the chemical activity within the cell (for example, by calling for the production of certain proteins).

In your own words describe the relative hardness of the sheep brain tissue as noticed when you were cutting it?

The brain felt tough and rubbery when you are cutting through it, it does however, get alot softer as you cut through the middle of the brain.

Where does the heat that warms your body come from?

The heat is generated by the body's metabolic processes, and the various reactions are regulated by the hypothalamus in the brain. Most of the heat is generated from the internal organs, about 16% by the brain itself.

What is the importance of a neuron?

A neuron sends messages from your brain to your body

A cell that carries messages through the nervous system is called a?

Nerve cells, or neurons, are specialized cells that carry messages through an electrical process in the brain. The brain contains about 100 billion neurons.

How does the nervous system send messages?

The nervous system sends messages through electrochemical signals. When a nerve cell (neuron) is stimulated, it generates an electrical impulse that travels along the neuron. At the end of the neuron, chemicals called neurotransmitters are released into the synapse, where they trigger a response in the next neuron in the circuit.

How is a neuron different from an ordinary body cell?

A neuron is different from an ordinary body cell because it transmits messages throughout the brain. It also sends electrical messages.

What is the Neuron function?

The function of a neuron is to transfer messages throughout the brain. These neurons are all attached and interpret everything that happens.

Where are messages interpreted in the brain?

In most cases signals are sent to the brain through the nervous system. Individual signals are transfer from neuron to neuron in the form of chemical and electrical energy that eventually reach the brain.

What part of the neuron carry the message from the brain to muscles of your hands and backbone?

Messages from the neuron always travel from the cell body down the axon.

What is a long bundle of neuron that carries messages to and from the body and brain?

Peripheral nervous system.

How does the retina send messages to your brain to tell what your seeing?

retina is connected to the nerve and the nerve sends the messages or images to the brain and the brain processes the images

How neurons send messages?

The messages are carried by chemical messenger across the neurons (synapses). It is actually an enzyme which is released from one end of the synapse and which triggers the electrical message to pass through each cell from side to side.

Which type of neuron conveys messages from your brain and spinal chord to your muscles for movement?

multipolar or motor neurons

What does sensory integration disorder do?

the brain does not receive messages due to a disconnection in the neuron cells; sensory messages are received inconsistently; or sensory messages are received consistently, but do not connect properly
