I would say that means that the previously owned cat is marking its territory. While eating a lot of cheesy fries
Not so sure about those cheesy fries but yes, often a cat will begin urinating in a spot used by a previous cat. To prevent this, use an enzyme based cleaner such as Petastic Stain and Odor Remover (which used to be the Nature's Miracle formula - this is essentially the original Nature's Miracle and the product that developed the high reputation of Nature's Miracle.) Petastic can be a little bit hard to find so call around to pet stores before driving all over town. It is one that definitely works though. Use according to directions and the enzymes will destroy any traces of the prior cat's markings. With any of the enzyme based cleaners it is important to thoroughly soak the area and allow the soaked area to extend a bit beyond the boundaries of the original stain.
