Can you ride a pony or horse when its 1year's old?

You can NOT ride a horse or a pony at a year old. You will will cause serious damage to their growing body. A large horse is not done developing until 6-8 years of age and a small horse/pony is not done until 4-5 years of age. People how ride their horses before this time most likely will end up with horses that are arthritic and will not live very happy lives.

Who is misty the pony?

3 Five-year-olds and a cow.

If your 4.11 how tall should your horse be or can you have a pony?

There is no set height as to how tall or short you need to be. Its is more your weight and ability to get on the horse (you wouldn't buy a 5 year old a 16 hand horse). Just remember that you plus your tack should be no more than 15-20% of the pony's bodyweight. :) For weight you can also go on a general ratio of one stone of your weight to one hand of the horses height, so for a 14hh pony anyone above 14st would be advised not to ride it. this is more important than height but if the riders legs come below the pony's belly they will just look silly :D

How much would a 4 year old pony grow in a month?

On average, a 4-year-old pony may not grow significantly in height in a month as they are near their adult size. However, they may still experience some muscle development and weight gain during this time. Growth rates can vary depending on factors such as breed, genetics, nutrition, and overall health.

Can a nine year old girl ride a shetland pony?

Yes you can ride a Shetland pony, but i would sugest that you learn how to ride properly before trying to takle a Sheltland, as they can get quite tempermental, and tend to buck their riders off. Do not expect that just because the pony is small that it will be easy to ride, they are just as hard to ride as regular horses. Also it depends on how heavy this 15 year old girl is, if she is 100-150 lb it would work but not overly heavy as you could injure the pony.

Can a 9 year old ride a pony?

Can a 28 year old ride a shetland pony?

Can a 13 year old girl that is around 114 pounds and about 5'2 - 5'3 ride a shetland pony?

Well, you could try, but it wouldn't make much sense, considering that the provided height and weight are too much for a Shetland Pony.

What should an 11 year old girl get for her birthday?

A pony…

Is a shetland pony the best breed for 11 year old?

A Shetland pony is a very small pony and will quickly be out grown by an 11 year old, so unless you have other very young children who could ride it, or teach it to pull a cart, then I would suggest moving up to a small horse or large pony.

Do you ride any horses?

Yes, I've been riding for 10 years. I went to the USEF Pony Finals last year.

Can a 17year old ride a pony?

I would imagine that largely depends on how big the 17 year old is and how big the pony is. A tall heavy 17 year old would obviously be too big for a small pony. It would probably be best to ask advice from a reputable local riding stables.

Is a 14hand tall horse to small for a 5ft tall person?

if the horse is under a year old you should not ride it because its knees are not completely clamped together and if you ride at a young age and hurt its knees you will never be able to ride it again. no the answer is no a 14 hand pony( anything under 15 hands is a pony) is not to small for a five foot tall person. the question is is it strong enough? so if the pony is young or not strong or under weight save time and money don't ride it

Is a 3 year old pony safe for a beginner to start her riding lessons on?

um age doesnt have anything to do with it, if the pony has had good quality training and can be trusted then there is no reason a three year old couldn't ride it. But most people what a horse with more experence for a little kid to ride, a good babysitter in other words. you have to use your judgment and get the oppion of other people as well
