Any horse is capable of show jumping. They may or may not be good at it though. But all horses have potential to do anythin that they put their mind to, just like humans. So therefore, i do belive that a Canadian horse can Show Jump. :)
EDIT: Yes it is. i own a Canadian and hes used for dressage but he could jump 3' 6" easily. (i don't really know what the height of show jumping is though, as i do not do it any more.)
Unmounted horse jumping is called "free jumping", where the horse is free of a rider. An unmounted jumping competition would most likely be called a "Free Jumping Show/Competition".

your question is not very specific. i think i get what you are asking though. the answer i have is money, prestige, skill or to help their training. some horses are better at some events than others, if you can, you should find out the breeding of the horse to tell from its dam and sire what it is most likely good at and you can help the horse improve and become great.

I've been show jumping for years. Over the years I find a horse with a good joint supplement and a icey hot rub down after jumping seem to do the best. I also dont jump my horse more then two days a week for no more then 1hr at a time, with a good warm up. As you must know jumping is hard on the horse and they need all the care form you to keep feeling good into there late teens.
