In my opinion an egg bar shoe is not an orthopaedic shoe. It falls into the corrective shoe category. It's main use is for collapsed and under-run heels and in the early stages of navicular. These conditions are acquired throughout the life of the animal. Orthopaedic shoes, in my opinion are moreso used for congenital deformities eg. lateral/medial lifts and extensions.
When the collapsed heels are rectified a normal shoe may be applied to the hoof thereafter. Therefore an egg bar shoe is a corrective shoe applied to correct a problem and not an orthopaedic shoe, needed on a longterm basis, to allow the horse to move optimally.
a horse would throw a shoe when it hasn't had its feet checked by the farrier in six weeks. the nails in the shoe would get loose and if the horse galloped around and stepped on a hard surface the shoe could fall off.
A shoe horn helps to properly position the foot into the shoe by reducing the friction between the shoe and the foot. It also prevents the shoe from deforming while being put on, which helps to maintain the shape of the shoe and provides support to the foot.

Shoeing a horse involves attaching a metal horse shoe to the bottom of the horse's hoof to protect it. It is not recommended to shoe a horse backwards as this could be uncomfortable and potentially harmful for the horse's hoof and leg. It is important to always consult a professional farrier for proper shoeing techniques.
An orthopedic horse shoe is a shoe that is modified from the original U shaping of the shoe. This can include egg-bar, rolled-toe, or even heart bar shoes.
This is Howrse test #5. The answer is heel piece.

For men with bone spurs, a good orthopedic shoe would be Brooks Men's Control. For women, New Balance makes a really supportive shoe for this problem.

Before purchasing an orthopedic shoe, make sure the heel is firm and the width is wide enough for your toes. Most orthopedic shoes will come with the option of removable inner soles.
To do an egg drop project with a shoe box, you can cushion the egg inside by using materials like cotton balls, bubble wrap, or foam. Place the egg in the center of the shoe box and securely close the lid. Test the project by dropping the shoe box from different heights to see if the egg remains intact.
Only if you are severely diabetic or the shoe is attached to an orthotic brace/device.
When horses have something wrong with their hooves and sometimes even their legs, people will use orthopedic shoes to correct the problem. An alternative to orthopedic shoe is barefoot trimming, which returns the hoof to a natural state, and a natural state is a healthy state. But some people still use orthopedic shoeing because they do not know about the harm of shoes and that the success rate of barefoot trimming rehab is higher than orthopedic shoeing.
