I have been breeding Falabellas in the UK for over 30 years.
If you would like to visit our website you will see several examples of Falabellas being ridden. The idea that they could not be ridden was because the very first Falabella imports to the UK were foals/weanlings which people believed to be adult horses! As a rough guide, a Falabella (or any other miniature) can carry one tenth of its body weight so that a 150kg Falabella can carry 15 kg.
