yeah, i agree i have been wondering about that question but i think that many stories think that the jungle is a better place to set the scene instead of the hot dry savannah. there are way more interesting animals in the jungle so they make use of these animals in their stories. so with the setting, they think "well, who is the king?" sot hey think and they think more... then they see the lion as a strong brave character so they say the lionis the king of the jungle! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- That was an excellent answer. Great question too. I'm sure many people are wondering that themselves. The Lion became "King of the Jungle" because Lions live in Africa. Many people associate Africa with the Jungle (although Africa is not all Jungle and the are Jungles in many regions of the world) again many people associate Lions with Africa. So, you can see where this is going. Why not name Lions the king they are strong, look incredible and a sign of bravery. However, they are not the most dangerous animal in Africa. Hippo's cause much more deaths.
Lions are often called the king of the jungle. which doesn't make any sense since they don't live in jungles. Lions live on mostly open grasslands. Tigers live in Forests and would fit much better as the king of the jungle.
The 'King of the Jungle' is the lion. Although lions do not live in the jungle, it is called the 'King of the Jungle' because of its majestic appearance and it is dominant over most other animals in its habitat.
because. he is scary and will eat you if you don't call him the king.
I'm sure it's the lion Cause lions and tigers once fought and the lion ALWAYS won....YEA..... But the white tigers are stronger than the lions The average Bengal, Indo Chinese, and Siberian tigers are more powerful than lions.
"King of the Savanna" is more appropriate title for lions as the title, "king of the jungle", doesn't apply to lions as they don't live in the jungles. Lions would be called "King of the Savanna" because lions are renown for their majesty and beauty, and few animals even challenge lions.
Lions as a species are called kings of the jungle, not specifically the females.
Its not tigers, its lions.

Because technically lions don't live in the jungle they live in desert grasslands.

It's the lion that's sometimes called the king of the jungle. IRL it should be the tiger, as lions don't live in jungles.
they are called that because they can nmost eat anything and they are very strong and ferise to kill but i think tiger can be the king but i guess it just the way it is.because a tiger and be the biggest and longest
People because they are the noun that is calling lions the king of the jungle
Lions don't really live in the forest. But if we consider wilderness as forest, then lions can be called the king of forest. "Lion is known to be the King of Beasts or King of Forest across most...They shouldn't be called that because lions don't live in a forest, and sometimes, lions are called "king of the jungle". However, that saying is incorrect as lions don't live in jungles so the..
