, i also did have the same problem once, and found it after 9 days, starving and thirsty but alive... it was hiding in a tube of my sofa's bars, i knew it was in the room, i left food every night but it never came out and one day when i was desperate i realized that the sofa has iron tubes as part of its mechanism and had a look there as last hope... ever since when i let it run free and it gets lost for hours, i just look in there and i find him. its a safe place but also tricky as it can get stuck like the 1st time
To revive a hamster from it's death, you must just let it go. It won't be back completely, but you will know that it is always with you. I lost a hamster too, and I sobbed and sobbed. The only way, is too set it free. Sorry for your loss.
you get a peice of food and put it on the ground your hamster will sniff it and go right to you11works like a charm!! If your hamster is in a room and the door was closed when it got loose, just stay perfectly still. Try to listen for scratching sounds. If not, scratch any dresser or deks type thing and listen. If you hear it, look EVERYWHERE you hear it. In droors, behind droors. Basically behind, in, or under anything you can think of that's nearby By hamsterluver224: Yes, I also think the old bucket trick works too. You put up a plank or something and a bucket baited with yummy food. Your hamster will walk up the ramp and fall into the bucket. Start looking in common hamster hiding places, like under droors, under beds, in bookcases, etc. My hamsters usually hide there. If you cannot find it there, look in unusual places like in blankets, in shoes, and in wrapping paper tubes. Or, you can leave its cage door poen with a trail of sunflower seeds leading to the cage and it will fall asleep in its cage by the next morning. Or, if you have more than one hammy, put a new nesting box in the cage and put the old one outside its cage with bedding. Or, you can buy harmless trap hotels for mice and bait it with treats. Good Luck! oh whats above `might work but make shure you put your hamster cage on the ground AND PUT WATER IN IT!
(Pelt as a noun means animal hide, while the verb usually means to bombard with small objects.) The trapper lost a beaver pelt while crossing the river. As kids, we would pelt passing cars with snowballs, and then quickly hide.
If your hamster gets lost you should:make sure that all exits to outside are closedLarger pets like cats and dogs and kept somewhere where they can't harm the hamster, like in a cage or a room where you know the hamster isn't there.Any rodent traps are removedand chemicals the hamster may be able to get to are removedHamsters will be able to creep into any gap or hole that its head can fit through, so check any gaps/holes. They can creep behind appliances e.g. Washing machines/cookers/fridges.If its your only hamster leave the cage door open as they will normally come back the next day. Its also possible its gone somewhere where it will be trapped and won't be able to come back like, downstairs and it can't climb back up, So you should have a second box/cage there with food/water/bedding so it won't starve. And also be careful where you step as it may pop out from under somthing and into your way.If this doesn't work you may be able to buy a trap for the hamster with its favorite treat in. You can also make a trap by using a ramp/box or anything similar. put its favorite food in the box which it can't climb out of again and leave the ramp leaning against the box so it can climb up. Maybe even leave a trail of treats along the ramp for it to follow. And that's all the advice I can give (sorry its like an essay)Good luck finiding your hamster! (-:
I don't know how you mean losing hair, if sheding is what your talking about, I'm not sure if the hamster might be sick or not, but if it is coming out in clumps and/or leaving red patches or irritated skin then I'd take Mr. Hamster directly to a vet. ASAP It could be something simple but I've found from my own experience, if someting is moving quickly with your animal, you need to move quickly.
Lost in a room
it depends on the hamster
you get it
Get a new hamster. Say good bye to the lost little fellow.
Kittens Tend to hide in warm dry places and older cats you will see out in the day sometimes at night but they like to hide in anything dry.
Most likely because the person "lost" the disagreement and they don't want to see the "winner" because it will embarrass them.
The only way I could imagine this could possibly be done would be with a tracking dog. The hamster may even no longer be in the same field, however.
Buy a new one ! ! !
The cats may be looking for somewhere to hide or looking for somewhere to make it their home.. They also hide from predators.
Keep your head out of it.
I think my hammys dead. i loved him.
Hide and seek
