I would get the vet birth is normally a rapid process and over before you know it.You could loose mare and foal if not carefull. The mare will get tired and then unable to give birth. There is a danger the foal is at a strange angle and stuck. If the foal gets starved of oxygen it could become brain damaged so good luck act now and I hope all is well.
Of course miniature horses can get pregnant. Horses are born, not made. And they're born from other horses. Only way for that to happen is if horses get pregnant.

Sometimes, horses have twins. However, there is a small chance and an even smaller chance that both foals (baby horses), will survive. It also increases the small chance that your mare will not make it through the birthing stage.

Usually not...horses, (like most birthing animals), are calm during the foaling process unless there are significant problems with the birthing process. Much of this is mediated by the hormones released before and during labor and foaling. If the mare has a malpositioned foal (dystocia) the veterinarian may administer drugs that make it easier to reposition the foal. These may include tranquilizers and or muscle relaxants.
