Cladistically/evolutionarily speaking.... Birds are a type of reptile (they even have scales on their feet, and feathers are modified scales). Crocs have a 4 chambered heart (and are archosaurs like birds), and likely evolved from warm blooded ancestors - they are secondarily cold blooded. But overlooking the faults in the question, cold blooded reptiles will not need to eat as often as the warm blooded reptiles (of which birds are the only surviving ground of warm blooded reptiles)
**An answer, that would most likely be used on a test, would be that endotherms are capable of producing their own heat, while ecotherms cannot. This would mean that ectotherms would most like feed during the day, when the sun is out to warm them up and give them energy and rest at night when they would be slower and either less capable of getting food or more capable of being eaten. Endotherms produce their own heat and, therefore, not reliant on the sun for warmth.
um im not so sure but i think a endotherm if its not rite im SRRY The above is incorrect. An endotherm is a warmblooded animal that maintains a constant body temperature. Humans are warm blooded. An ectotherm is an animal whose body temperature varies with the temperature of its surroundings. Reptiles are "cold-blooded." A lizard is a reptile hence it is an ectotherm. Hope this helps and hope it is not too late.
Most scientists believe that reptiles evolved from amphibians, specifically from ancient creatures known as early reptiliomorphs. These early tetrapods adapted to a more terrestrial lifestyle, eventually giving rise to reptiles.
Snakes belong to the group of animals known as reptiles.
Lizards belong to the animal group called reptiles.
Yes reptiles can blink
A snake is a vertebrate and is an ectotherm (cold-blooded) like most reptiles.
I'm no scientist but I've always thought that most reptiles are "exothermic" as they're cold blooded.
Endotherms. We self-regulate our internal temperature, like other mammals and birds. Ectotherms' temperatures are dependent on the ambient environment, like reptiles and fish.
Lizards are reptiles.
Not really, reptiles are solitary creatures, the only reptiles that I know of that travel together are dinosaurs
A reptile is in no way a mammal. A reptile is a vertebrate, but it is completely different from a mammal. It doesn't have hair, it is an ectotherm, and it doesn't feed its young with milk. A mammal has hair at some point in its life, is an endotherm, and feeds it's young with milk.
Bats are mammals. Mammals maintain their body's internal environment by their own power; they are, by default, endotherms.Ectotherms, like reptiles, need an external source to assist in the maintenance of their internal environment.Endo=inner; ecto=outer
An ectotherm that is suited for living on land is the turtle. Other ectotherms which can live on land include reptiles like snakes and amphibians such as frogs.
Reptiles are cold-blooded creatures. They commonly eat insects and have dry, scaly skin. They reproduce by laying eggs and all reptiles are vertebrates.

Yes, reptiles have courting behavior. Some creatures have more complex courting behavior than others.
