When the American Quarter Horse Association was founded there were limits on the amount of white markings a horse could have. At that time it was felt that white feet for instance were weaker than dark colored feet (now proven not to be the case) and white faces were more prone to sunburn (true) and that blue eyes were a sign of blindness or weakness (not the case). There were many stockhorse type horses that had good working backgrounds but had too much white to be registered with AQHA. Later on the people who liked the horses with lots of white and felt that they were equal to the QH in ability formed their own association, the American Paint Horse Association. Since the QH breeders occasionally produced a foal with more white than AQHA allowed these were accepted into the Paint association as "cropout" Paints. Both associations only allow QH or TB cross breeding. A couple of years ago the AQHA changed their rules to make them more of a bloodline breed and allowed any horse within the Paint association that could prove all registered QH background (those cropouts) could also be registered as a QH since it was QH by bloodline. This has created the interesting situation of colored QH's (which are not allowed to show in the halter classes in AQHA shows since the amount of white they have is still considered to be not desirable) and horses that are registered with both associations. Within the Paint world there is one pattern that never goes back to all QH ancestry, the tobiano pattern. As a result of this no horse, even solids or overo's resulting from tobiano or tovero breeding, can be double registered with the AQHA.
It is probably referring to if a horse is of purebred genetics. Or simply if a horse is purebred Paint, or purebred QH, or purebred Arab, etc. whichever breed that horse may be. how much of that breed is in the horse. example: say you have a thoroughbred stallion who is pure. this means the stallion is 100% thoroughbred stallion and has no other breeds involved.
Preferably a name thats long but just one word. I LOVE the name Blue Hors Matinè. So gorgeous and elegant sounding. Something like that. My pony is a 14.2hh flea-bitten grey though hardly, she is QH x TB x Welsh x Arab. She is speedy but very muscly and strong with a big neck. But she's a sweety too. Thanks!! :D
Just about any type of horse can be trained to do barrel racing. Some horses are just naturally better at it then other horses. Usually you want a horse that is fast and can turn fast. Alot of people use QH and paints. I have Ridden a mustang and a paint in barrel racing and they both did very well.
It depends on the breed. For example, according to the jockey club, the official birthday for all Thoroughbreds is January 1. This is also true of racing Arabians and racing Quarter Horses. Although I don't know if that holds true for all Arabs and qh's (check with the AHA and AQHA, respectively.)
qh is the medical abbreviation for every hour.
COP will be the quocient between what you want over what you payed for that is: QC / WC Or for a reversible carnot cycle since WC = QH-QC QC / (QH-QC) or TC / (TH - TC) Where TC - Temperature of the cold reservoir TH - Temperature of the hot reservoir WC - Work of compression QH - Heat given to the hot reservoir QC - Heat taken from the cold reservoir
