No, it is not good to give your hamster processed foods or foods with high sugar.
I buy my hamster some hamster food at Wal-Mart and it isn't expensive. If you don't want to do that, I also feed my hamster Special K. He LOVES it! You should get the kind with the yogurt clusters. Hamsters love that! Hope this helped! :) ~Ashley
Dwarf hamsters should never eat foods that are high in sugar, salt, or fat, as these can lead to obesity and other health issues. Other foods to avoid include almonds, citrus fruits, onions, garlic, and chocolate, as these can be toxic to hamsters. It's important to stick to a balanced diet of hamster-specific food and fresh vegetables.
Yes. Therefore, these foods are good for hamsters.
anything but salami i mean it too! your hamster will die!
Generally, if hamsters can fit it into their mouth and its not meat, they will eat it. However, like humans, they do prefer certain foods over others. This is not dictated by species, but rather by each individual hamster. For example, one Russian dwarf hamster may absolutely hate peas and no matter how many you give to it, it will always spit them back out. However, another Russian dwarf hamster may absolutely love peas and eat or pouch every one you give it.
Dwarf hamsters can eat seeds one week after they are able to eat solid foods. This is when they are about 4 weeks old.

For my hamster, I like to use the Oxbow brand. It has a good mix of grains and proteins and vitamins, so it's probably one of the most healthy foods for them. Even though it says all over the package that's it's good for their whole diet, I think that it's a good idea to give them a small amount of fresh food daily, such as a small carrot, or a couple of peas. Hope that helps!
It is an Omnivore. The Albino Tiger Barb needs to be fed a variety of foods including vegetables as well as meaty foods. Feed a quality flake food as well as freeze dried, live, and frozen foods such as brine shrimp and bloodworms.
