you can give your guinea pig carrots that are clean & pealed with the tip and bootm cut off. they can also have ROMAINE Lettuce up to three times a week only. * A variety of fruits including strawberries, Oranges, seedless melon, apple, banana, peaches, etc. (feed citrus in low quantities, because the acid can lead to mouth sores) * fruit should also be fed in small quantitie because of its sugar contents and you should vary the fruit your pig eats as it gets bored of the same thing all the time. * you should also give your pig HAY. You can get it at most pet stores and it should be part of their daily diet. BELOW ARE THINGS YOUR GUINEA PIG SHOULD NEVER EAT Potatoes (skin and eyes are POISONOUS!!!) Mushrooms, Avocado, Iceberg Lettuce ,Rhubarb ,Hot Peppers , Jams and jellies , Nuts , Dairy, Meat "junk food" ,grapes and raisins! and NEVER give them fruits or vegetables that have been frozen, cooked, tinned, preserved, or otherwise altered. The nutrients in any of those listed above evaporate, making them no help to the guinea pig! Remember - fresh is best! (You can keep it in the fridge though). Organic is recommend.
