Tigers are the largest cats on earth. Unfortunately they are endangered because they are so prized for their fur. There are less than 7,000 tigers left in the world. Tigers are in in the mammalia class, order of carnivora, family of felidae, genus panthera, and species of tigris. They can be found in the wild from India to Siberia. Many have been captured and raised in zoos and private sanctuaries. They can grow to be seven to ten feet long, not counting their tail. They can weigh from 165 to 570 pounds.

Well, they are NEARLY extinct, not totally extinct. And people are making private sanctuarys for them. It is also illegal to buy or sell jaguar pelts. People like farmers and ranchers kill them because jaguars eat their livestock. People also hunt them for sports. Which is REALLY mean. Also jaguar babies look like the adult jaguar, exept smaller, they are deaf, they can't defend themselves, and i think they are bald.LOL ;-)
