Mice eat a variety of things. The adults eat seeds and maybe berries. The babies drink the mom's milk, until they are old enough to eat themselves. Mice are prey not preditors. They are strictly Herbivores.

Can pet mice attract wild mice?

No. Mice do not venture close to houses at all, unless it needs food. If it could smell another mouse, it would probably go to that house first, thinking, "Oh! Another mouse is already here and snacking! This is a safe house to go in." Otherwise no.

Facts about wild and demesticated mice?

Wild mice typically live in fields, forests, and grasslands, while domesticated mice are bred to be kept as pets. Wild mice have a shorter lifespan than domesticated mice due to predators and harsh environmental conditions. Domesticated mice have been selectively bred over generations to have specific traits such as coat color and behavior, making them different from their wild counterparts.

Do fancy mice have sharp claws and teeth?

ALL animals can, and even will, bite for many reasons. Fancy mice, house mice, wild mice, Asian mice, it doesn't matter... Mouse, dog, snake, elephant, giraffe, whale, porpoise, ALL ANIMALS BITE. THAT SAID: WEANLING MICE might bite, looking for a nipple, and if the piece of skin on your hand fits into their mouth, they will bite out of curiosity, to see if milk will flow, & ease their hunger. MOTHER MICE WILL give you a warning nip, (I've received many) if you get too close to their babies or another mouse's babies. This is because mice are very social creatures. They will adopt the babies of other mother mice, they will nurse another litter of mouse pups if the mom dies. You can even wet nurse mice to rats, who have a richer milk. Female mice have 10 nipples, & larger size litters as a result. So, all sorts of mice bite, for all sorts of reasons. Male & female mice bite each other when they fight. I've seen both male, & female, mice bite, & hang on (to the point of being dragged) grab hold of a male mouse's testicals, but I don't know why. There is at least 1 reading that shows male mice have no nipples, but I want to test that by doing more research before vouching completely for that because, as you know, nipples, except for marine mammals & Disney cartoon males.

How long do mice carry babies for?

Rats usually carry there babies for twenty-one days, sometimes twenty-three. If they deliver at ten days, most likely all the babies will die :( And after the babies are born, that doesn't guarantee them all living. By the way, the mom will eats the babies that are born dead or sick. Oops I forgot, take a head count of all the babies everyday, if she has a runt she might abandon it so keep an eye on the runts! Hope this helps, Kirby319

Is mouse a wild animal?

Not all mice are wild. You can buy domestic mice from a pet shop, they have been bred to be tame. Though most mice are wild, they are the kind that live outside and sometimes in people's houses. Wild mice are pests because they can endanger native animals and invade people's houses. Pet mice are actually really good though.

Will the babies your female mouse had be tame or hurt her since they must be wild as you have no males?

Ah. You're lucky. You're baby mice will be as tame as mom, maybe even more, but smarter and healthier. They'll live longer. This is what usually happens with nearly all domestic wild hybrid. Most 'tame' or pet store mice are from a 'tame' stock bred to be more docile and for appearance and color. If one were to breed with a wild house mouse the offspring would have the potenial to be 'wilder' but if raised as pet mice would probably be as docile as pet any other pet mice. Some species of completely wild Field Mice are almost as docile as pet mice from the first time they are handled so wild doesn't automatically denote aggression it really dnt matter i guess cuz they all nasty

You can't. It's already flowing in their blood, and mostly all of them have it now, except for tame, captive-bred mice that people keep as pets. Don't try to cure a wild mouse of disease.
