I think I can answer this. A foal that has not been weaned (taut to eat grass instead of drinking milk) will drink his mothers milk. Something else that you may want:

Stallion- male horse over 4 years.

Colt - male horse under 4 years.

Sire- father of a horse.

Gelding - neutered male horse.

Mare- female horse over 4 years.

Filly -female horse under 4 years.

Dam- mother of a horse.

Foal-a baby horse
The horse is a mammal. The foal is fed milk from the mother the first few months of life. As it gets older the foal will start eating what its mother does, grass or hay and grains.
