I think I can answer this. A foal that has not been weaned (taut to eat grass instead of drinking milk) will drink his mothers milk. Something else that you may want:
Stallion- male horse over 4 years.
Colt - male horse under 4 years.
Sire- father of a horse.
Gelding - neutered male horse.
Mare- female horse over 4 years.
Filly -female horse under 4 years.
Dam- mother of a horse.
Foal-a baby horse
