What do you do when one family Dog starts fighting with the other family dog for no reason?

Oh, there is always a reason. It can be jealousy over you; they start to play fight and things get out of hand; territorial issues; pecking order issues or perhaps one of the dogs (the one that starts the fight) may have health issues and should be seen by your vet to be sure. I have a sweet 4 year old Bichon Frise X (21 lbs. female) and now have a 2 year old Cockapoo X who is 15 lbs. (male.) She has mothered him and now that he is in his Junior years he thinks he's the 'cock of the walk' and will get snippy with her. Since the owner really is suppose to be the leader of the pack (that's what the dogs look for in the household) the owner should be stern and not allow this behavior to continue as long as you know the dog starting the trouble isn't ill. There are books out by Caesar Millan (Mexican ... aka 'The Dog Whisperer) who works magic with troubled pets. I just wish he was in Canada! Purchase at least one of his books and you will find lots of tips to help you over-come this. In fact, I'm going out to buy one his books tomorrow.
