It is recommended you use paper based litter. Even shreadded paper right out of your home shredder is fine, just ensure your not mixing in plastic (envelope windows) or tape. Although it is not proven it is suspected that wood based liter causes liver damage to rabbits. I personally wouldn't take any chances, but shreadded paper is fine.
The most common hamster flooring is wood chippings/shavings. They love t burry in it.
If you go down to your local pet store there's a variety of beddings, you can pick the perfect one depending on what breed of hamster you have.
Usually sawdust. It is the best, because it's soft and
deliquescent. you cover the bottom with news paper and then sawdust on top. put hay in their sleeping area.
depends...either their waste or their bedding

I definatly wouldn't advise using a wire hamster wheel as a hamster can get its legs in between the wheel when running.
Put the cage on the floor and leave it open. Put a few treats in each room of your house. Then check on it everyday. At night listen for noices. We had 3 of our hamsters get out and they all came back. I just let it go and they showed up. My hamster got out a few weeks ago and i couldn't put the cage on the floor because there was another hamster in the cage. But i found her about 4 days later behind my frige.
There are a number of places where you can get the blue prints for a hamster cage. You can ask a company that makes these cages for example.
Well first of all there should not be mold in a hamsters cage. Try taking your hamster out of the cage and keep her/him in something else for a while. Scrub his/her cage really well, get hamster "cage clean" to get the stink out. Your hamster should be fine.
Put your hamster's cage in a cool place but also where it can get sun. Make sure not to put it directly in front of a window and not in a closet or under a bed. If you have cat's it's a bad idea to put it on the floor. My hamster's cage is on a shelf up high. Have fun with your new hamster!
you put it in the same cage with a male hamster
(It would not let me put commas.) broken-- hamster cage--
Yes, it'd be best for the new hamster who is coming in to the cage. And would be much more sanitary.
Syrian hamsters will need bedding on the cage floor. They need a bowl to put their food in, a water bottle, and a wheel to run in. This is the bare minimum.
Put a hamster of the opposite sex in its cage.
In a hamster ball.
