Also when they slowly blink their eyes at you they are giving you a kiss When a cat swishes its tail slowly and gently it means it is happy, but if it is swishing its tail sharply from side to side, it means it is upset, and is usually a warning to not touch the cat at that time, if you don't want to get scratched. I've noticed that when cats sometimes swish their tale around during its sleep its probably dreaming or happy because its comfortoble

∙ 12y agoMost people think it means that the cat is angry, They are wrong. When a cat wags it's tail it means it wants to do two thing at once for example, you sitting on the sofa in-front of the fire stroking your cat which is on your knee and you notice it's tail is wagging. As much as your cat probably likes sitting with you in front of the fire, it probably wants to go outside and chase birds as well. This is when they wag their tails.

∙ 12y agoIt depends. When a cat moves its tail slowly and gently it means it is happy, but if it is swishing its tail sharply from side to side, it means it is not happy with the current situation and is probably best to leave the cat alone for a while.
