India is one of the twelve mega bio-diversity countries of the world having a wide spread plant and animal species. The various factors responsible for the distribution of plants and animals (flora and fauna) on the earth and also in India can be listed as below -
(a) Relief including land, soil type, drainage etc.
(b) Climate which include temperature, photoperiod, precipitation etc.
phytogeography and zoogeography respectively.
Plants and animals have different metabolic processes, and plants use photosynthesis to convert sunlight into energy. While plants may be smaller than some animals, their energy needs depend more on factors like growth rate, environmental conditions, and reproductive strategies rather than just size.
Animals do not have chloroplasts, the organelles responsible for photosynthesis in plants, so they are not capable of producing their own food through photosynthesis. Animals have evolved to obtain nutrients by consuming other organisms or organic matter, rather than creating their own energy from sunlight like plants do.
Animals and plants are codependent upon on another for several reasons. Namely, animals depend on plants for nourishment while plants depend on animals for fertilizer.
Animals get most of their energy and nutrition from plants. Animals either eat the plants, or eat animals that ate the plants. Also, it gives animals a place to live. Such as spiders, ants, moles, and other animals. Plants also provide animals oxygen.
Several factors influence the distribution of plants and animals including water and temperature. Additional factors include light, fire, and soil ph.
Biogeography is the study of these patterns in the distribution of plants and animals around the world, considering factors such as climate, geography, and evolution.
The study of the distribution of plants and animals is called biogeography. This field examines how various factors, such as climate, geography, and ecological interactions, influence the spatial distribution of species across different regions and ecosystems. Biogeographers analyze patterns of biodiversity and the historical factors that have shaped these distributions over time.

Adaptations influence distribution of plants and animals because they adapt to their envirenment, examples include the camel, the lobster, the polar bear, and the seal. Over time, an animal changes to meet its needs.
In plants, the energy generating organelle is the chloroplast and mitochondria in certain cases. In animals, it is the mitochondria
