The first white tigers came from Rewa, India, in the 1950's..Captured as cubs from a normal colored mother, these cubs form the bloodstock for white tigers seen in zoos today. They are genetically flawed Bengal tigers, not a separate sub species.
Yes. It is possible, but not advisable to do it too often in a family. It results in a building up of recessive alleles in the DNA of the horse, which can cause genetic disorders. Inbred horses will often be weaker than ones bred from a more varied stock. Inbreeding is used to "fix" desirable traits in breeds, whether they are dominant or recessive. The general rule is to inbreed for a maximum of three generations before an outcross is required. This outcross can be done by crossing unrelated inbred lines or by crossing with a superior animal that has little or no inbreeding. Any inbreeding program can result in an increase in undesirable traits this is why culling of inferior stock is important. More rapid changes in genotype and phenotype can be acheived in animals that produce large numbers of fast maturing offspring, Because mares have so few offspring in a lifetime breedings should be carefully chosen in an attempt to insure each foal superior.

A bloodstock agent / consultant serves a variety of services within the thoroughbred (race horse) industry. At a sale, a bloodstock agent will identify and recommend the horse they believe have the highest probability of:being a top race horse themselves or producing a top race horse (if purchasing breeding stock).having the highest return on investment if pin-hooking (purchasing to resell at another sale) or producing a foal that will sell well (commercial breeding)For breeding purposes a bloodstock agent will help identify the stallion/mare combination most likely to produce a top race horse or commercial horse. Breeding to sell and breeding to race can result in very different recommendations and someone should make sure to let their bloodstock agent know their goals when discussing details about the mating recommendation. Is one bloodstock agent better than the next? Yes, just like within any industry there are good and bad. Many bloodstock agents have their own style and tools they use in identifying horses. The majority of agents consider pedigree as well as a visual inspection of the horse. a select few also add in the physical measurements of the horse to analyze the bio-mechanical ability and then are able to compare that horse to all of the horses they have in their database. There are others that use heart scans or DNA analysis in their decisions. It is best to take the time to investigate the different methods used by the agents and find your best fit.

Unless the mare and her son were already highly inbred there probably won't have a significant problem with the foal. Ideally, this type of breeding in very undesireable, and should be terminated unless done with intent by a knowledgeable breeder who has a good understanding of the breed, their bloodlines and superior bloodstock.

There is no specific collective noun for foals. A foal is a newborn horse, that sticks with it's mother for the most part. Foals would not normally be in a group. A foal would be considered a part of a herd of horses or a stable of horses.
