Well, it depends.
I, personally use a 10 gallon glass tank, for my wonderful tame Syrian hamster. If you choose to do what i do, make sure you do not get over two dwarfs. If you want a wire one, it is harder to se your hamster, and take it out. But, it has better ventilation. I'd say a tank, but don't disconsider a normal barred cage for your furry one. Make sure the cage is spacious, and nice.
Good luck!
Dont get a wired cage your hamster will chew the bars. But how ever dont get a Ovo suite it is WAY too small. And plastic is bad for hamsters even with a dwarf hamster its too small. I would say you should get a 20 gallon tank or bin cage. A tank is easy to clean and your hamster will have LOTS of space and do what ever you want with it!!! Put a wheel chew toys etc. And who would want to spend so much money for plastic that is not healthy for your furry friend. How ever bin cages are FAR BY THE CHEAPEST! Only around 7 dollars! They have lots of room too you can drill holes on the lid so your hamster can breath drill lots of holes! I know this from a breeder who has been breeding hamsters for many years! Remember just cause if a cage looks fun its pure plastic and it may be small and LOTS of money! You can drill holes in bin cages so you can put tubes in it! Its still fun and cheap for us and great for your hamster!!! This is from shampers!!
Well it doesnt really matter what kind of cage because since they are so small they dont need too much room. for my nasty hammy who loves to bite me, i have a plastic bin. this is great because they are cheap, no bars so they dont bite on them, easy to clean, light weight, and you can get really size. oh, and you can connect them with tubes :) hope i helped!
Russian dwarf hamsters are considered to be the best dwarf hamster breed as a pet.
No matter what breed, color, size, shape, attitude, All hamsters need AT LEAST 360 square inches of floor space in their cage. Bigger is always better. Most cages of cages you will see in the petstore are: Crittertrail cages, Habitrail OVO cages, Small critter keeper, ect. But, These cages are way too small for a hamster. You can find out how big your cage is by measureing it by the lengh x the width. If the size is under 360 square inches than it is too small. Cages I like and have are a 20 gallon auqariam, 110 qt bin cages, Guinea pig cages and rat cages. Just make sure the floor is non-wire and the bars on the cage are only one in. because if the bars are too wide your hamster can escape. I hope this helped you!
Different hamsters need different cages. Most people buy crittertrail cages or ovo homes. but all are different.
My syrian hamster lives in a cage with lots of tunnels and levels i think these sorts of cages are good for them as they like climbing and exploring and she seems very happy.
in its cage i say. i have a hamster and i have to go to school, i feed him in the morning and i leave him in his cage, when i come back i put him into his exercise ball , and then i feed him again.
When you buy your first hamster you should buy a cage, food, chew toys, Exercise Wheels & Exercise Balls Good Luck with your new Hamster !!!
There are a number of places where you can get the blue prints for a hamster cage. You can ask a company that makes these cages for example.
Well first of all there should not be mold in a hamsters cage. Try taking your hamster out of the cage and keep her/him in something else for a while. Scrub his/her cage really well, get hamster "cage clean" to get the stink out. Your hamster should be fine.
I definatly wouldn't advise using a wire hamster wheel as a hamster can get its legs in between the wheel when running.
Sanitize the cage and get new bedding and the cage is good as new!
a hamster with a cage :) Hamster $9.99 Cage $39.00
It's a fine hamster cage.
It is very good for a starter cage, but you could go bigger
Well the best, finest, hamster cage is the habitrail brand they are expensive but worth it. other good hamster cage brands are crittertrail. they are the two brands that are always sold in pet stores... like: pet culture, pet value, etc ......
because it urinates. Usually you can go to a pet store and get a safe cage cleaner that smells good and cleans the cage well without harming your hamster.
get rid of the hamster or buy a cage for it!!
Yes. The wires in the cage have gaps too small for a dwarf hamster to fit through. The cage is good for dwarf hamsters.
The best kind of cage you can get for your hamster is a wire cage with a plastic bottom. It is well ventilated and the hamster can climb.
I do not think is really a such thing as the most exspensive cage but it would be fumn to find out. I have a hamster and need to get him a easy good traveling cage. So if anyone knows put itonline and then ill find it name it the best hamster cage steve ok thanks
you should. the hamster may be gone but the cage will start to stink.
Buy it a bigger and better cage or get it a hamster ball.
