Predators of the frog include:

  • snakes
  • turtles
  • terrestrial and aquatic lizards
  • crocodiles
  • people
  • terrestrial mammals such as hedgehogs and raccoons
  • some carnivorous, aquatic mammals such as water shrews
  • fish
  • diving birds, water birds and Birds of Prey (e.g. hawks, kites, eagles)
  • cane toads
  • Amphibians, birds, fish, mammals and reptiles are predators of frogs.
  • Specifically, amphibians are known to eat other amphibians, and this holds true for frogs cannibalizing their own and other species. Birds typically can be diving avians and raptors. Fish generally favor tadpoles and smaller-sized adults. Mammals include people - in terms of collecting, cuisine, and environmental impact (habitat loss, pollution) - and shrews. Reptiles range from lizards to snakes and snapping turtles.
  • The frog has very many natural predators. Snakes, fish, and birds are just a few. The natural predators also depend on the species of the frog. Almost any large animal.
  • There are many many predators of frogs, but the main three are Herons, grass snakes ad other birds (for the common frog only).
  • Most things bigger than it really... Cats, Dogs, Birds, arge fish. and the French of course.

frogs are predators because they hunt for bugs. though they are just bugs, and are so small, the frog still hunts for them. therefore, frogs are predators.

Young gators are preyed upon by turtles, birds, raccoons, bobcats and other gators if they are willing to chance being caught by the mother alligator. Alligators larger than about 5 feet have no natural enemies besides other alligators.

Tadpoles are often eaten by fish and aquatic predatory insect larvae, such as dragonfly nymphs. Those are two natural threats; two man made threats to tadpoles are pollution induced mutations, and habitat loss.
