The starter kit sounds cheaper to buy, because it is sold in one bulk purchase.

Yes, if you are buying a guinea pig set with the food, bedding, food bowl, water bottle, and the cage. They sell a good starter kit for $50.00 at PetSmart, but at PetCo they sell the same thing for $70.00! Hope this helps! :-)
The guinea hens ,that my neighbor raises, are better that watchdogs.
Buying guinea pigs isn't recommended because you don't know their age, their parents, the conditions they're raised in, and if you're looking for a certain breed, it can't be guaranteed that the guinea pigs are purebred. Sometimes they have fleas as well. They're often not fed correctly. A lot of the time they have malnutrition or vitamin c deficiency if they're fed rabbit food with no hay or veggies. Pet store guinea pigs are rarely tame and usually very skittish. I got my guinea pig from a pet store but I've had guinea pigs before. Shortly after I got him I noticed him biting and scratching his back so I looked through his fur and found a big scab. I have no idea how it happened but he definitely had it when I got him. You might have better luck getting a guinea pig from a shelter if there's any available but if you get one from a pet store make sure it's happy and healthy.
If the guinea pig's cage is rusted, it's important to replace the cage or the affected parts to prevent your pet from coming into contact with the rust, which can be harmful if ingested. Rust can cause health issues if ingested or cause injuries to your pet's skin or paws. Ensure the new cage is made of materials that are safe and non-toxic for your guinea pig.
A pet store would be a better choice
It sounds fair buying them from either, but it does depend on how well they treat the guinea pigs..

Guinea pig is a social animal, and is always better with a cagemate.

Guinea pig. they are the gentlest of all rodent species. they are also very warm, loving and affectionate creatures. they do require a bit of attention, but they will return the love. Yeah after biting you and kiling your children. they love lettuce and carrots. start buying. they are small but they can eat
Probably Gerbils, because they are indoor animals, and guinea pigs are fragile
tell her that the guinea pig cant fit and needs a bigger and better house
It is probably not that good for them, but my guinea pig used to eat everything from candy to grapes.
I would have to say fleece is better. It cuts down on the dust for guinea pigs, the bedding does not get stuck in their fur, it is easy on their feet, and the top always stays dry. Note: Do not use regular detergent to wash fleece. Use vinegar and a gentle, scent free detergent (like oxy clean or tide free). Also, fleece is more effective if your guinea pigs' cage is large and there are not many guinea pigs (1-3 guinea pigs). MAKE SURE YOU GET EVERYTHING OFF THE FLEECE BEFORE YOU WASH. Your guinea pigs will be as happy as ever with fleece.

actually, guinea pigs ears are a lot better than human ears, so don't expose them to noises to loud. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- also black guinea pigs have far better hearing than guinea pigs of another color (7 guinea pigs) and most guinea pig dont like high pitch or fast tempo noise...
