Well, Chinchillas have the softest fur in the world so very mean hunters are hunting and killing them for their fur to make fur coats, because they sell for lots of money. And at the very LEAST it would take 50 (wow) chinchillas to make ONE chinchilla coat. But if we start having them as pets they will eventually get off the endangered species list.
