I can't mention all the guinea pig breeds but I will mention the most common. American piggies, the most common breed. They have a short soft coat. Abbysinian piggies, they are very active, usually more active than Americans, but it really depends on your piggies personality. They swirls and wirls of fur and they look cute and punky! Peruvian guinea pigs. They have a fairly long coat, and their hair grows over there head so, there is an opportunity for bangs! Sheltie/ Silky piggie. They have a very long silky coat and is very straight and lovely. A crested piggie. There are two kinds of crested piggies, the American and the white crested. The cresties have one swirl, on the top of their head, and are shorthaired everywhere else. The Coronet piggie. They have a very long coat, like the Sheltie, and they have a one single swirl on their head like a crestie. Now for the hairless breeds. The Skinny pig. They have some hair on their feet, on their face and some on their back. Hairless piggies are pretty hard to find but, skinny pigs are the easiest breed to find. The Baldwin piggie. They are completely bald. That is all I have to say about them. Oh, and baldwins are extremely rare. You would be considered lucky, to even find a pair! ( Piggies should never be kept alone! But that's another story....) There are many more breeds of guinea pigs, but I only mentioned a few.
