Most likely it is a Powhatan, a "House Brand" that was actually made by Crescent Arms Co. in Richmond Va.
Though the plate could have been put on it from another gun, many used whatever plate would fit when theirs broke, and this plate was not too uncommon back in those days. You should be able to find the company name imprinted on it somewhere on the barrel of your particular gun.

i have a shotgun double barrel, i think it maybe 12gauge with Richard or righard on the plate below the barrel, the butt of the shotgun has browning automatic on it, which made me think it was a browning, but it is not...can you help me id the shotgun and what the value is
Remove the butt plate. There will be a hole. There should be a slotted screw at the bottom of the hole. Use a long screwdriver and be careful to not damage the stock.
