Paint horses (The breed and not the pinto markings themselves) as a whole tend to be fairly smart and calm. But that being said each horse is an individual and will act differently depending on many factors.
Not unlike most draft horses, a Belgian is usually calm and quiet. They are quite strong, even holding world pulling records. Of course, each horse is individually different.

The scale is from 1 to 10 with 1 being the calmest. A horse with a temperament of 1 doesn't spook, doesn't get upset, is very calm and gentle. A horse with a temperament of 10 is wild, spooky and very dangerous.
This question really depends on the horse itself. Overall, I would say that the Clydesdale would be stronger, as I think they were used in olden times pulling carriges, farm machinery, etc. But it really does depend on the individual horse, as I bet there are Belgian Horses that are stronger than Clydesdales, but also Clydesdales that are stronger than Belgian. Hope this helped :)
A team of two Belgian horses can pull between 14,000 and 17,000 lbs.
Depending on the standerbreds temperament it can make a good riding horse. But is preferably a more 'Cart pulling' horse and trotting horses.
The modern Belgian draft horse is used as a hitch (parade type) horse. The old style Belgian Brabant is a heavy draft horse.
The Belgian horse or Belgian draft horse, also known as Belgian Heavy Horse, Brabançon, or Brabant, is a draft horse breed from the Brabant region of modern Belgium. There it is called the Cheval de trait belge or Flemish.

It isn't the breed specifically; you need a horse that is the right size for you, and you need a horse that's the right temperament If you are a beginner rider, you need a bombproof horse temperament 0-1). Intermediate should be about a 2-4 temperament. And so on. It also depends what you are using the horse for.
it is a type of Draft horse. They are very big.
