This is the Herpyllus Ecclesiasticus, more commonly known as the Parsons spider. This spider gets its name because the white stripe on the abdomen resembles an 18th Century parson's cravat.
The animal you are referring to is the hobo spider (Tegenaria agrestis). It is not actually considered aggressive, but its bite can be venomous, although not usually fatal. Make sure to exercise caution when interacting with this species.
It is unlikely for a spider to bite a hamster as they are usually kept indoors in enclosed cages. Additionally, most spiders are not aggressive towards animals larger than themselves. If a spider were to bite a hamster, it may cause irritation or a small puncture wound.
im not sure of an answer but i also live in Wisconsin and i recently found a small black spider on my wall and i tried to catch it and it jumped at me..but i looked online everywhere and i found nuthing...it looked a lot like a hobo spider mixed with a black house spider that would be the jumping spider probably, they are very fast and they jump. If they bite you it is not lethall however they can cause nausia dizziness and swelling. They are all around my parents house in the trees Dont worry, jumping spiders arent aggressive! if it is the spider that i am thinking of, they are hairy and often they have a little orange or white spot on them. When I was a kid I wasnt afraid of spiders and i used to catch them in my hand and let them jump from one hand to the next. They never tried to bite me, but as far as spiders go, they seemed almost curious. Jumping spiders are one of the spiders that don't build webs, but rather hunt for their food. This makes them more intelligent than many spiders, and I have often known them to look up at your face (which is a little creepy lol) But they arent any more aggressive than your average spider, meaning they would rather run than attack and will only bite if they are in danger of being squished, i.e. if they happen to be in your clothes when you put them on. Its likely that it jumped but Im certain that its intention wasnt to attack you.
The spider you are describing is likely the yellow sac spider. They are commonly found in North America and are known for their distinctive yellow markings on their bodies and legs. Yellow sac spiders are often found indoors and are not considered to be aggressive towards humans.
The spider which you are describing, being black and about the size of the palm of your hand in Ohio is likely a wolf spider. They are not aggressive but will bite if provoked. While not lethal to humans, a wolf spider bite will require medical attention as they are poisonous.

Spider Solitaire
It's not but its cousin which resembles it, the recluse, is very dangerous, just not aggressive.
It MIGHT be the St Andrews Cross Spider. Their bite is at low risk to humans and they are not aggressive.
No, because spiders are venomous, not poisonous. Even if a dog ate a Black Widow spider, nothing would happen to it, unless the spider bit it while it was in its mouth. Either way, a dog wouldn't become aggressive, but it could become sick if the spider actually bit it and injected venom.
Spider Solitaire should be included on your computer if you are using a PC. Otherwise there are many freeware versions online you can find by searching "spider solitaire" on Google.
The spider you are referring to is likely the marbled orb-weaver spider (Araneus marmoreus). This spider is known for its bright orange coloration with black spots or diamonds on its back. It is a common sight in many regions, including Texas.
