essential fatty acids such as found in evening primrose oil can help with coat and skin condtion. you could try a 250mg capsule once daily on the cats food. regular grooming can also help stimulate the skin and coat lessening dry skin. if the dry skin is excessive please get your cat checked by a vet as some parasites can causes excessive dandruff. other reasons for the cat having dry flaky skin may be it is not grooming itself regularly (eg because of underlying obesity or problems in the mouth like dental disease). your vet may also be able to recommend a specific veterinary fatty acid supplement if no health problems are detected. (please NEVER give cats cod liver oil as it is too high in vitamin A for them and can cause problems. evening primrose oil at lower doses should cause no problems)
