Basically since water is the only drink they're allowed, the water hydrates them. Then since they don't have baths or brushes, they just use their claws. They do a daily groom everyday with their claws, that makes it fluffy and smooth. Also, they have healthy food pellets or muesli, and especially nuts help them get it soft too. Nuts are healthy BTW.

Soft fur comes from nutrients. Minerals and all that stuff make their eyes gleam and their gums pink and their fur soft. Sometimes it is just inherited that a animal's fur is ruff. Like in Alaskan dogs and animals like that. But in animals like bunnies, fur HAS to be soft. If it's fur is not soft, that bunny is sick and needs medical attention for it is malnourished.
It's pretty much fur, so it feels very soft.
This is only based on my own experience but I think it is similar! I think its because both fur is very fine. I'm allergic to cat fur and also hamster fur so it may be similar, however don't treat them in the same way! :)
No- no hamsters can't take baths because they hate water and it makes them very ill and they die!Hamsters groom themselves and so don't need to be washed so baths won't be necessary anyway. If they are smelly from 'someone' not cleaning their cage they can use Chinchilla dust bath, available at most pet stores.
The soft fur that they cover the pillow pet makes it feel soft. And the stuffing inside makes it even softer.
Cats and dogs are soft because of their fur. The fur is soft so people think the animal is soft.

Ermine is a very soft and high quality fur. It has been a symbol of royalty since the middle ages. It is a highly sought after fur, which makes it expensive. Ermines are only white in the winter.

when hamsters are born they are fur-less so don't be alarmed! its okay to get worried about them because you just assume they would be fluffy miniature versions of the adults. After about a week or so your little fur-less 'ball's' will start growing their fur and soon will be furry. but they are not red they are pink
