First, bring your injured hamster to the vet for an examination. Make sure it will heal up nicely.
*Mature hamsters are solitary animals. This means they like to live alone. If your hamsters were both six months old, they would start to gain territory for themselves. They will bite, scratch, and hiss at other hamsters to mark their territory. My guess is that you had two male hamsters that were six moths old. The stronger one injured the weaker on.
Secondly, you need to get separate cages for your hamsters.
When you first buy a hamster, you will need to purchase a cage or habitat with food and water dishes, bedding material, hamster food, an exercise wheel, chew toys, and possibly a hiding house or tunnel for your hamster to feel comfortable and secure. Additionally, you may need to buy a water bottle and some treats for your new hamster.
You should put it in the hamster's "home" and leave it alone for a day or two, so it can get comfortable with its' new surroundings. You can though, still give it attention, but try not to "overload" it.
yea, at first when i had my hamster i was soo scared to hold her but then my friend tried it for me. It was soo cool. When a hamster goes into a new home you have to get her used to the enviroment. So you should definetely hold him =] hamsters are playful (sometimes) so love them and dont be afriad of them.
I would not recommend it. First, you should let him get used to his/her new environment. Then on the 2nd day, you hand feed him/her a treat. You can probably hold your little furball on the 3rd or 4th day.
I think you should try apet that would live longer like a bird or you cold get a kitten or puppy. Definitely something that would live at least 10 years. Have fun :-)I don't think you should get a different animal, just get another one, I'm 12 and I
To find a new roommate you can use a roommate matching site or you can check local classified ads, Kijiji or Craigslist. Precaution should be taken when selecting a roommate. They should be trustworthy and reliable. They should be able to provide references.
No
Roommate is a noun. There are lots of options... :) I can't stand it when my roommate blares his music. My roommate is hardly ever here. I'm glad I have a roommate; there's always someone to talk to.
You probably don't see your hamster when she or he climbs. If you just added something new into your cage, your hamster will be confused because it isn't used to anything new.
You can contact schools and universities in your area, if you're a student, to find a roommate who is perhaps similar to yourself. You can also try Craigslist or RentAtMyPlace to find a new roommate.

Yes, you should use gloves because if a hamster is newborn, it may bite. Using a glove is the best way.
No if he/she is new it may take a while, if you have had the hamster for a while and it still won`t get a hamster ball so he/she can run around the house and learn how to roll, then he/she might use the wheel.
