If your guinea pig is young, it is normal, since they are born with all of their fur and they would start to lose fur behind their ear as they age. For the past 8 years of having 4 guinea pigs, every single one lost hair from behind their ears as they aged. However, if your guinea pig is elderly, it could have mites and you should take it to the vet. 1-4 months is a good age to reassure yourself that losing ear hair is a normal way of a cavy's (guinea pig's) life.
yes, chamomile is very good for them, it helps cleen and condition there coat and keeps them healthy.-------------------------------------------------------------------------*pepermint or mint is not good for them, it is poisoness! thanks
It's important to keep the guinea pigs separated to prevent further injury and stress. It's possible that they are not getting along, and continuous aggression can lead to serious harm. Ensure each guinea pig has its own space, shelter, food, and water to reduce stress while trying to reintroduce them gradually if possible.
When your guinea pig tilts its head to one side it might have a eye or ear infection.
Hisflower's answer ( sorry I deleted this by mistake as I am new to this. He or she said the GP is probably sick and should see a vet) Guinea pigs can't vomit. I wonder if what you are seeing is the heaving hiccoughs as described by Peter Gurney. Alternatively, one of my guinea pigs went through a spell of spitting out brown fluid when I was trying to hand feed it when it was sick. I am pretty sure now that this was the result of it eating every poop in sight (not just the special ones) in order to try and restore its gut flora. It was on Baytril at the time.
Yes, you can walk a Guinea pig. You can buy a harness for it at a pet store. However, you should know that wearing a harness and "being walked" is highly unnatural for a guinea pig. In captivity, guinea gigs should be kept with plenty of space. Rocks and rocky ground are good for climbing (which keeps them fit) and for maintaining their claws (wear-out on rocks keeps the claws short and healthy). A balanced diet and appropriate living conditions should be all the guinea pig needs. If it needs walking, something is wrong with its keeper.
There could be several causes including illness, mites, fighting with other animals. Best way to get an accurate diagnosis is to see your Vet.
Coelom
I would. But if you are not for sure, then call a vet and see what they say.
It is helpful because it keeps you company
If the reservoir keeps losing fluid.
It could be the voltage regulator.
it may be half asleep and not bothered to move but if it keeps happening and they are not eating you should get them checked out.
When you handle your guinea you should fiddle with her feet so she gets used to you touching her feet. After a few times you can cut her nails instead of fiddling.
Only if it keeps getting higher.
Because Mrs. Kowalski keeps losing her cats!

No one keeps statistics on something like that so is unanswerable.
