It is best to wear trousers - dark with a light coloured horse or light tith a dark coloured horse- this way you dont distract the judge when they are watching your horses legs as you run with them! A waistcoat or tweed jacket and tie and a hat.
If you are English you should wear a nice helmet, boots, a shirt, jodhoppers and jacket, if you are a boy you should use a tie, and your horse should be wearing an English bridle
If you are western you should have:(If you are a girl:) Boots, either a slinky with a vest, or a jacket, show pants, and a cowboy hat. (If you are a boy) A western show shirt, a jacket (A girls jacket is more like a shirt, a boy's is like you would wear if you had a business) blue jeans and a tie, and hat. Your horse should have a LEATHER bridle on.
Things you need for a horse show are; your helmet, your helmet cover if you are using one, hair net hair clips and elastics, safety pins for emergencies for pinning up numbers, * Gloves * Riding Pants * Boots * Spurs if using * Whip if using * Medical armband if required. * Comfortable clothes for after riding * Tights and half-chaps if needed for schooling. And another IMPORTANT thing, always bring your grooming supplies for your horse incase anything happens to it's mane before you compete.
There are many things you can wear it all depends, well if you are showing you should have white slacks, a collar shirt black dressage boots, (DO NOT GET FEILD BOOTS) and a black dressage jacket (make sure it doesn't have a long flap in the back because this is only for Grand prix shows. If you are just having fun riding then just wear a collar t and some slacks (any color) but make sure they have the grip all the way under your butt.. :D lol trut me you don't want jumping slacks for dressage :DDD
Glad i could help,

For stadium jumping the traditional attire is tan or light colored breeches, tall boots (either dress or field boots), a dark colored hunt coat, black gloves and a black velvet helmet. Ladies wear a shirt with a rat catcher collar and gentlemen wear a collared shirt and tie.
You should wear closed toed shoes with a heel. This is so your feet are protected from the horses' hooves on the rare (but not too) occasion that he/she steps on your toes. The heel is for the actual riding so that your foot cannot slip all the way through the stirrup which is what you put your feet in while riding. If you are riding English i recommend going to your nearest tack shop and getting a pair of jodhpurs. If you are riding western just jeans are fine. Whatever shirt you want to wear as long as it is loose fitting is just fine! Also, if you are under 18 or worried about safety a riding helmet would be highly recommended.
To watch a horse show a person can dress casual. If the horse show is at a country club where the horses and riders will be showing off their equestrian skills, a person should dress more formally.
A black show coat, ratcatcher, tan breeches, tall or short boots, black gloves, and a velvet ASTM certified helmet
You should wear show pants that match the color of your chaps. You shouldn't wear jeans unless it is a small local open show or if your a man.
I don't know if you can "WHERE" makeup at a horse show, but you definitely can WEAR makeup at a horse show. The question really isn't CAN you...but SHOULD you...and how much is too much? How old are you? Do your parents allow you to wear makeup at other times? A little bit of lip gloss and a teensy bit of mascara will make you look a little more alive in the ring...but if you are under 14 years of age, I wouldn't even think of wearing lip gloss or mascara. You and your horse should be there to show how well you work together; you should not be there to show off your makeup.
you should ALWAYS wear a helmet and body protector when you are riding you should ALWAYS wear a helmet and body protector when you are riding you should ALWAYS wear a helmet and body protector when you are riding well i would disagree, i have never worn a helmet and have never been really hurt from falling off or being bucked off, just a few bumps and bruises every once in awhile.
7 out of 8 do not wear a helmet in the USA.
The tail brace being worn in the show ring is part of the long history of the Tennessee Walking Horse. Walking Horses have worn tail braces since they started showing.
